IWATA's new sleep brand "NEZEN" to be unveiled in New York on May 16th
An exhibition during NYCxDESIGN at Nalata Nalata. Bringing Kyoto's bedding heritage and "a quiet ritual toward stillness" to the world.
IWATA Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kyoto, Japan; CEO: Yushi Iwata) will unveil its new sleep brand "NEZEN" in New York on May 16, 2026. The launch will take place during NYCxDESIGN at Nalata Nalata, a shop in the Lower East Side, in an exhibition titled "Nezen — An Exhibition of Futons and Bedding by Iwata." The exhibition runs from May 16 to May 31.
NEZEN is a new ritual for sleep, proposed by IWATA, a Kyoto-based maker with a long heritage of bedding craftsmanship.
NEZEN frames night as a place where stillness and presence in the moment meet.
An opening reception will be held on May 16 from 1:00–5:00 PM. CEO Yushi Iwata will travel to New York and be present at the venue.
