The feel of down products depends on the maturity of the down, not the down content. The maturity of down is determined by the size of each down cluster. Mature down has a greater number of barbs on the down plume, forming larger down clusters that provide high heat retention. On the other hand, even if there is a lot of immature, small down, the down content will increase, but such immature down has low heat retention and is not warm, nor does it provide a comfortable sleep.
At Iwata, we have set strict quality standards and only use down that has passed inspections at the Iwata Down Laboratory.

The fabric is also carefully selected.
Conventional down fabrics were resin-treated to prevent down from escaping, meaning they could not be sun-dried or washed.
Iwata, using its proprietary know-how, has developed a natural 100% cotton fabric. Each product undergoes meticulous inspection by our engineers, ensuring the highest quality.

Can be hand-washed at home
Conventional down products could not be washed with water due to concerns about mold and odor. Iwata solved this problem with its ionized special technology.
It can be washed with water and sterilized by drying in the sun, ensuring peace of mind regarding hygiene. Matted down can be loosened, restoring its original fluffiness and function, and improving durability.
General fabrics, which are sealed with resin or glue, not only fail to absorb moisture, but also inhibit the moisture-absorbing and releasing properties of down.
Iwata fabrics absorb sweat and moisture instantly, ensuring the down's performance is not compromised.
We thoroughly inspect for harmful chemicals.
OEKO-TEX is an international safety standard for textile products that prohibits or restricts the use of harmful substances in textile products and is issued only to products that meet its standards.
Iwata's bedding is certified "product by product." All materials used in our bedding, including down, natural hair, fabric, thread, and zippers, meet the standards, proving their safety down to the very last thread.

Temperature and humidity inside the futon
We measured the temperature and humidity inside Duvets during sleep at home, using both the Iwata Down Futon and a regular futon. The results showed that the Iwata Down Futon maintained warmth throughout all time periods. Additionally, it suppressed humidity increases, indicating that it maintains an appropriate internal environment within the futon. (Demonstration 1)
