IWATA will be there again this year. From Regeneration to Circulation: We will be collecting old down duvets at "Circulation Fest 2026.4.19 @ Umekoji Park"
IWATA will again be collecting down comforters at this year's "Circular Fes." We are promoting the circular manufacturing "RENMEN Project" with the desire to "pass on to future generations a Japan where we can enjoy the changing seasons."
Kyoto bedding manufacturer "IWATA (Iwata Co., Ltd.)" will sponsor the "Circular Fes" (to be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00 at Umekoji Park, Shichijo Entrance Plaza, Kyoto City) and will be collecting old down comforters for free at the venue.
【Eligible items for collection】Down comforters with a down content of 50% or more. Multiple items can be brought in.
【Circular Fes special offer】A 1,000 yen gift certificate that can be used at Iwata's directly managed stores will be presented. (Limited to one per person.)
This activity is part of the "RENMEN Project," an initiative by IWATA to promote a circular economic system (circular economy). With the desire to "pass on to future generations a Japan where we can enjoy the changing seasons," IWATA will contribute to the construction of a sustainable society in the field of bedding manufacturing.
Iwata's environmental initiatives have received high evaluations at the R6 Kyoto City Environmental Award Special Prize, the R6 Kyoto Prefecture Environmental Protection Meritorious Service Award, and the Decarbonization Challenge Cup, among others.
From down collection and regeneration to circularity - RENMEN Project -
Iwata proposes a circular cycle instead of the conventional consumption flow of "make" → "use" → "discard." Down is a byproduct obtained from ducks and geese raised for food. It is a natural gift that offers excellent heat retention and warmth without relying on fossil fuels. In this project, used down comforters are collected. After the down is removed and cleaned, its cleanliness is enhanced with our unique ionization technology to create new products.

Circular Fes Overview
The "Circular Fes," which started in 2022, is a reuse festival that promotes a new system for circulating used clothes, mainly in Kyoto City, with Generation Z.

The event includes a used clothing collection via the "RELEASE⇔CATCH" collection box, and a "¥0 Market" where attendees can take home up to three favorite items from the collected used clothes for free.
There are also workshops and exhibitions where participants can easily learn about reuse and recycling, stage events such as talk shows, and a delicious food marche with safe and secure ingredients, making it an event packed with activities that allow participants to enjoy learning about circularity.
